"intervention" on A and E

i think i need an intervention from watching "intervention."
really.  this show is so utterly indicative (addictive) of 21st century Americana, it needs to be preserved in the Smithsonian. right next to re-runs of "i love lucy," and the Spirit of St. Louis.

synopsis:
comically depressing addicts vomit nearly every detail of their sordid lives in front of a camera. add in producers who i suspect supply the dope/booze to said addicts in order to get their shockingly candid sound-bites and a small contingent of family members who want to intervene  - and there you have it: "intervention," on A & E.

sometimes you gotta take a second and decide if you should laugh or just cringe. i mean, it's on tv, so for all intensive purposes, it's entertainment - but i kinda feel bad for being entertained. or maybe it's because i've been exposed to the same exact shenanigans in years past. who knows...

and of course, there's the obligatory disturbed Iraqi Vet; Brad...geeez.
